BitTorrent-style exchange divides material into pieces and retrieves them from many peers at once. Demand creates capacity.

Store / forward
The network can move at walking speed.
A phone, community node, USB drive, or local Wi-Fi link stores a bundle now and passes it onward whenever contact becomes possible.
HOW A BUNDLE TRAVELS
No continuous connection required.
Material moves whenever two parts of the network meet. The route can cross a fast internet link, pause for a week on a phone, then continue over a community mesh.
